The National Democratic Congress (NDC) headquarters erupted in jubilation following the concession of defeat by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, in the 2024 general elections.
Addressing the nation on Sunday morning, Dr. Bawumia extended his congratulations to NDC’s John Dramani Mahama, who emerged victorious in a landslide win.
His acknowledgment of the results has been lauded as a gesture of statesmanship.
Supporters of the NDC thronged their party headquarters, chanting victory songs and celebrating their candidate’s return to power.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians nationwide await official confirmation from the Electoral Commission.
