iShowSpeed hasn’t even started his stream yet, but he’s already left speechless by the overwhelming reception from Ghanaians.
The Twitch and YouTube star, real name Darren Watkins Jr., experienced Ghanaian hospitality firsthand upon his arrival at Kotoka International Airport late Sunday.
He was welcomed with a full motorcade from the Ghana Bikers Association, accompanied by an additional convoy, setting the tone for what promises to be a memorable tour.
Ghana is the final stop of his January 2026 ‘Speed Does Africa’ tour, which has already electrified audiences in Eswatini, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast. Clearly, he saved the best for last.
In his first live video from the country, an excited iShowSpeed said: “I haven’t even started streaming yet and it’s already getting lit.”
Ghana holds a special place for both iShowSpeed and his bodyguard Rudiger, who share roots in the country.
Fans have shown their excitement through custom fan art, including jerseys, portraits, and murals.
The celebrations also featured a supercar show at Independence Square, highlighting just how much the country goes all out for star-studded arrivals.
Indeed, Ghana never disappoints.
