SC Freiburg midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh made a surprise appearance at the Black Stars’ camp in Stuttgart on Sunday, where he spent time with the squad ahead of their friendly against Germany.

The 28-year-old, who has been out of action for nearly three years due to injury, was in good spirits as he greeted teammates and staff, sharing warm exchanges and moments of camaraderie.

Kyereh’s last outing for Ghana dates back to December 2022, but he remains an integral figure within the team setup. His return to the group, even as a visitor, was met with enthusiasm, with players and officials visibly pleased to reconnect with him.

The visit is believed to have provided a timely morale boost as the Black Stars gear up for a stern test against the Germans.

Since making his international debut in September 2021 against Ethiopia, Kyereh has accumulated 18 caps for Ghana. Despite his prolonged absence from the pitch, he continues to maintain close ties with the national team.

His presence in camp was widely viewed as symbolic, reinforcing unity and team spirit ahead of kick-off scheduled for 18:45 GMT.
