The Public Relations Officer of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council, Nana Okatakyi Idan Opirim IX, has appealed to the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, to prioritise the welfare of grassroots supporters in the Gomoa Central Constituency.
Speaking during Mr Asiedu Nketia’s visit to the area, Nana Opirim said residents had worked hard for the party to return to power and therefore deserved improved living conditions.
He expressed concern over the poor state of roads in the constituency, explaining that although the District Chief Executive had undertaken some reshaping works, heavy rainfall continues to wash them away.
He also highlighted the high unemployment rate in Gomoa Central, noting that many young people struggle to secure jobs after completing school.
Nana Opirim further appealed for the establishment of companies and factories in the constituency to create sustainable employment opportunities for the youth.
