Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo says being involved in a Premier League title race is a new but exciting experience for him.
The Ghana international maintained his impressive form as City eased to a 3-0 victory over Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
Semenyo opened the scoring in the 24th minute and later set up Nico O’Reilly for the second goal, before Erling Haaland sealed the win.
The result moves Manchester City to within three points of league leaders Arsenal, who face Brentford later tonight.
Speaking after the game, Semenyo admitted the intensity of a title chase is something he is still adjusting to.
“It’s new to me. I’m enjoying it. But obviously, it comes with a lot of pressure and demands. We have the team to do it. We just need to keep going,” he said.
He added: “Just going to sit tight and watch the game tomorrow, and hopefully it goes our way, so let’s see.”
City now turn their attention to the FA Cup, where Semenyo will be hoping to continue his fine scoring run against lower-tier side Saltford FC this weekend.
