Actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has confirmed that her nine-year marriage to Maxwell Mensah has come to an end.
In an interview, McBrown revealed that marital, work, and health challenges made the past two years of her life particularly difficult.
She explained that all three areas she valued deeply “fell apart” at different times, but overcoming them has strengthened her resilience.
She disclosed that she and her partner amicably decided to part ways.
“We didn’t go through it like the bitter ones. We were both tired. We sat down, talked, and decided to move on peacefully. Yes, I’m divorced. I am, and I’m not ashamed to say it. Divorce is not the end for a woman,” McBrown said.
The actress emphasized that the cordial separation has allowed them to maintain a healthy relationship.
“Me and my husband are cool. We spoke yesterday. We speak today. We speak tomorrow. We meet. I go to our house, meet my in-laws and everything. We are the best of friends. We didn’t go through it like the bitter ones,” she added.
McBrown described her daughter, Maxin, as the greatest blessing from her marriage, calling her “priceless.”
Despite the emotional toll of the divorce, she said she is now in a good place mentally and emotionally. “As I speak now, I am the happiest, I am a happy woman,” she affirmed.
She encouraged women facing similar challenges not to give up, noting that overcoming serious health struggles alone is proof of God’s grace.
