I’ll carefully consider any appointment before accepting – Chief Biney [Listen]

Former Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Nixon Biney, has dismissed viral reports claiming he has been appointed Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Monday, Biney expressed surprise at a circulating social media flier announcing his alleged appointment, stressing that he had not received any official communication from government.

“Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, was the first person to draw my attention to the viral post. I was surprised because if it were true, I believe I would have been engaged to confirm that I am available and ready to deliver on the mandate,” he said.

Biney clarified that he is currently focused on his private business but remains open to serving in a role where he can make a meaningful impact.

“It is not just about the appointment but how you can positively impact. Wherever I am appointed, it shouldn’t be a minus but a plus. Appointees must be impactful and support President Mahama’s vision and agenda over the next four years,” he stressed.

He added that he has held discussions with President Mahama and the First Lady on areas where he can contribute, emphasizing that any future role must align with his logistics expertise and desire to support national development.

Biney concluded by urging Ghanaians to focus on adding value rather than merely occupying positions, warning: “Even if we bring Jesus Christ, things will not be the same” without a mindset of impact.
