Ghana international Jonas Adjetey has spoken of his excitement after sealing a move to Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg.
The 22-year-old centre-back completed the switch from Swiss side FC Basel on transfer deadline day, signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
Adjetey described the move as a major step in his career, expressing his determination to make an immediate impact at the German club.
“It means a lot to me to be in the Bundesliga now and take this step with VfL Wolfsburg,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to getting started immediately and will give everything every day to help us achieve the results we need,” Adjetey added.
The transfer comes at a crucial stage in Adjetey’s international career. The defender has already featured for Ghana in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and will be keen to secure regular playing time in Germany as he pushes for a place in the Black Stars squad ahead of the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
