The General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun has publicly apologised after his prediction about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries failed to come true.
In a statement titled “Public Statement & Apology,” the cleric admitted that he wrongly foretold that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the NPP’s flagbearer contest and lead the party into the next election.
“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he said.
Prophet Nelson-Eshun acknowledged that he made the declaration openly through a book, videos and several media appearances, speaking with what he described as prophetic authority, which caused many people to rely on his message.
He admitted the prophecy influenced people emotionally, spiritually and politically, especially those who took actions based on the prediction.
“I take full responsibility for this prophetic word,” he stated, stressing that he was not seeking to shift blame or offer excuses for the outcome.
The prophet said the apology was part of his commitment to accountability and truthfulness to his followers and the wider public following the outcome of the primaries.
