I lost everything – Agbeko opens up on life after addiction

-

Ghanaian rapper Agbeko, best known for his hit song Wototome, has opened up about his painful fall from grace, revealing how drug addiction cost him his home, stability, and peace of mind.

In an emotional interview, the rapper recounted how his dependence on drugs gradually took over his life, eventually leaving him homeless.

“I was doing drugs. I couldn’t get myself a place anymore; I had no means to. I lost everything that was holding me up, so I found myself on the street,” he shared.

Agbeko explained that although music brought him some income, it was never enough to sustain him. Every show he played went into survival costs, including bills, studio bookings, and food.

When music could no longer keep him afloat, he turned to petty trading, selling clothes from place to place just to make ends meet.

“I started an indoor boutique business. I sold clothes, and sometimes carried them around for people to buy,” he revealed.

He also disclosed that during his struggles, he suffered severe memory loss, which strained his relationships and affected how people perceived him.

Agbeko’s story highlights the silent battles many entertainers face behind the scenes, serving as a sobering reminder that fame without stability can quickly turn into a fight for survival.
