New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, says his campaign ahead of the party’s internal contest is progressing steadily, with strong engagement across the country.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Dr. Acheampong disclosed that he has so far engaged more than 200,000 delegates out of the party’s estimated 209,000 nationwide.
According to him, he has personally visited 219 constituencies, while delegates from constituencies he is yet to visit have also reached out to him.
He expressed confidence that by December 30, he would have engaged all delegates, noting that support for his candidature continues to grow as the campaign advances.
“The campaign is going well. I have met representatives from 219 constituencies and engaged with 200,000 delegates. Even in constituencies I haven’t visited, at least 100 delegates have reached out to me. By December 30, I expect to have met with all the delegates,” he said.
Dr. Acheampong further revealed that within the past two and a half months, about 50,000 delegates from across the country have visited him in Kwahu.
The Abetifi MP stressed that the NPP requires bold and disciplined leadership to remain relevant, emphasising that his campaign is not about “testing the waters” but a determined effort to lead the party forward.
“As we delve deeper into the constituencies, our confidence in achieving success grows. In the last two and a half months alone, 50,000 delegates from various constituencies have visited me in Kwahu. The time is now; we are not just testing the waters. Our party needs a bold and disciplined leader who will ensure that the voices of the people are heard and valued,” he added.
