
The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, turned the pitch into a mini dance floor on Tuesday night after the Black Stars sealed their long-awaited qualification for the FIFA World Cup.
In a scene that instantly lit up the stadium, Okraku burst onto the field moments after the final whistle and treated fans to an impromptu performance of Shatta Wale’s chart-topping hit ‘Mahama Paper’.
Wearing his trademark grin, the GFA boss moved with the rhythm, flanked by players, technical staff as well as jubilant supporters.
His spontaneous dance moves, captured on camera, have since gone viral across social media, drawing laughter and a flood of congratulatory messages.
Many fans described Okraku’s dance as a symbol of national relief and unity after the Black Stars’ hard-fought journey through the qualifiers.
His excitement mirrors that of all Ghanaian football fanatics who are privileged to witness Ghana’s fifth World Cup ticket.
