A heavy rainstorm accompanied by strong winds has caused extensive damage to several public offices in Juaboso, in the Western North Region, ripping off roofs and leaving buildings exposed.
Among the affected institutions were the offices of the Electoral Commission Ghana, the Ghana National Fire Service, and other nearby public structures.

The downpour began in the evening and lasted for several hours, with strong winds blowing torn sheets of roofing against buildings and scattering debris across the area.
While properties sustained significant damage, no deaths were reported.

Speaking to Adom News, Dennis Owusu, the Juaboso District NADMO director, said he received a distress call that the EC and GNFS offices’ roofs had been ripped off. He and his team rushed to the scene and confirmed the damage.
“The roofs of these offices were completely torn off. Thankfully, no one was hurt,” he said.

Mr. Owusu added that a full assessment of the damage could not be carried out immediately, as many offices were closed for the holiday.
However, NADMO teams are expected to evaluate the situation thoroughly once operations resume.
