Hearts of Oak making positive strides under Didi Dramani – Communications Director

Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has expressed optimism over the club’s progress under head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani ahead of the 2025 football season.

His remarks followed Hearts’ 2-0 triumph over Heart of Lions in the 2025 Homowo Cup on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with Hamza Issah and Frank Doku scoring the goals that secured victory for the Phobians.

Despite beginning his tenure with a defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko in the 2025 President’s Cup, Opare Addo believes the latest performance signals steady improvement.

“What we saw on Sunday against Heart of Lions shows that Hearts of Oak is moving in the right direction under Didi Dramani. We might not win every game, but the team is clearly improving,” he told Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.

He further lauded the former Black Stars assistant coach for instilling his philosophy and culture within the squad while urging fans to continue backing the team.

“Didi Dramani is embedding his beliefs, culture, and philosophy in the players. The fact that the team is on the right track doesn’t mean fans should take their focus off the team. Now is when we need their support the most,” he added.

Dramani, appointed at the end of the 2024/25 season, replaced Ivorian manager Aboubakar Ouattara, who now serves as a special advisor to the club’s board.

Hearts of Oak will meet Heart of Lions again on Wednesday in the opening fixture of the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament at the Accra Sports Stadium.
