The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Juaboso, has donated essential medical equipment to the Sefwi Asawinso Government Hospital in the Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region to help improve healthcare delivery.
The items include a delivery bed, ECG machine, patient trolley, microscope, examination lamp, wheelchair, dual stethoscope, centrifuge, nebuliser, and other vital supplies.
Presenting the donation during a familiarisation visit as part of his working tour of the region, Mr. Akandoh said the gesture aligns with government’s commitment to strengthening health facilities, particularly in underserved areas.
He commended the hospital staff for their dedication despite logistical challenges and urged them to put the items to good use to enhance healthcare services.
Medical Officer at the facility, Dr. Paulina Appiah, welcomed the donation, describing it as timely in bridging gaps in maternal care, diagnostics, and emergency response.
