The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has formally initiated engagement with Nigerian music star and entrepreneur Mr Eazi following his public proposal to invest an initial US$2 million in the development of an ultra-modern indoor-outdoor events centre in Ghana.
The confirmation was made by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he disclosed that the Authority had reached out to the artiste and expressed appreciation for his interest in supporting Ghana’s creative arts and tourism infrastructure.

Mr Eazi first announced the idea during a live performance at the recently held Detty Rave Concert in Accra. At the event, he underscored the need for a world-class venue capable of hosting large-scale concerts, festivals and international events, describing it as critical to the growth of Ghana’s entertainment ecosystem.
His proposal is part of a broader private sector-driven vision aimed at strengthening Ghana’s position as a leading entertainment and cultural hub on the African continent.
The announcement has since generated widespread discussion on social media, with creatives and industry stakeholders welcoming the move as a timely response to the long-standing absence of purpose-built, large-capacity event venues in the country.
If realised, the proposed indoor-outdoor events centre is expected to support year-round programming, enhance event safety and logistics, and attract more international acts and festivals to Ghana—boosting tourism, job creation and the broader creative economy.
