The Chief Imam of Gomoa Ojobi, Iddris Kassim Sulemana, has appealed for job opportunities for unemployed youth in the community to help curb crime and other social vices.
According to him, many criminal activities in the country are driven by youth unemployment, and he has therefore called on investors and stakeholders to support job creation in the area.
He also cautioned Muslim youth to avoid reckless riding of motorbikes, warning that such behaviour often leads to accidents.
The Chief Imam, popularly known as Saliki Diamond, further encouraged young people to stay away from negative influences and adopt responsible lifestyles.
Meanwhile, some Zongo chiefs in Gomoa Ojobi have also urged Muslim youth to desist from engaging in illicit drug use.
The Chief of Gomoa Ojobi, Nana Atta Kakara, who joined the community in worship, commended Muslims in the area for their disciplined conduct.
He called on members of the community to continue promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among themselves.
