The Member of Parliament for Tano North in the Ahafo Region, Dr Gideon Boako, has donated examination materials to about 700 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the Duayaw Nkwanta Zone.

The support forms part of efforts to help candidates adequately prepare for their exams, with each student receiving a mathematical set.

Speaking to Adom News, Dr Boako explained that the initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the Municipal Education Directorate during a Youth Career Guidance Programme themed “My Future, My Choice.”

He noted that the programme brought together experts and resource persons to educate candidates on examination guidelines and provide career guidance.

According to the MP, a total of about 2,200 mathematical sets are being distributed across the Tano North Municipality to ease the financial burden on parents.

The School Improvement Support Officer for Tanoso, Veronica Kumi Yeboah, and the Paramount Queen Mother of Duayaw Nkwanta, Nana Serwaa Nyarko, commended the MP for the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial to the students.

They also urged the candidates to take the guidance seriously and adhere to examination rules as they prepare for their future careers.
