The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced that Ghana’s Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs, Nawaaf Ibn Mohammed Al Mazawda, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Ibn Fawzan Al Rabiah, have signed the final arrangements and agreements for the 1447 Hajj season in Jeddah.
The signing took place during the 5th Edition of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition, which was attended by over 50 dignitaries from various countries. The agreement outlines preparations and logistics for the 2026 Hajj season, ensuring smooth and organized operations for Ghanaian pilgrims.
Speaking at the event, Minister Al Mazawda expressed Ghana’s gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued support and hospitality to Ghanaian pilgrims.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in collaboration with the Pilgrims Experience Programme (PEP), also showcased new digital initiatives designed to enhance the Hajj experience by improving efficiency, safety, and innovation.
The annual conference serves as a platform to review Hajj operations, strengthen international cooperation, and explore future improvements to ensure the welfare and comfort of pilgrims.
