In a landmark announcement witnessed by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu revealed that AMBYLON, a cutting-edge education technology company, has been selected as the strategic partner to lead the complete digital transformation of Ghana’s education system.

The announcement was made at a joint press conference during President Steinmeier’s visit to Ghana, highlighting the historic nature of the collaboration. Ghana aims to become the first country with a fully digitalized education framework, providing modern, inclusive, and accessible learning for every student.

The initiative will be implemented in partnership with key Ghanaian institutions, including the Ministry of Education, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), and the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), which spearheads digital and distance learning initiatives.

AMBYLON will integrate its advanced learning management systems, content development tools, and immersive virtual reality (VR) educational experiences into the national curriculum. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of promoting equitable growth and opportunity through technology-driven education.

“Ghana is setting a global benchmark,” said Jörn Halsinger, founder and CEO of AMBYLON. “The government is demonstrating vision and bold leadership by embracing digital education as a cornerstone of opportunity, growth, and equality. We are deeply honored to contribute to this historic transformation.”

The details of the partnership are still being finalized, with implementation set to begin in 2026. Pilot programs will launch in selected regions before a nationwide rollout.

This collaboration represents a major milestone in Ghana’s digital agenda and positions the country as a potential global leader in educational technology innovation.
