The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a disclaimer, distancing itself from a recruitment notice circulating on social media and describing it as fake and misleading.
The purported press release claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of graduate teachers into Senior High Schools and directs interested applicants to contact a phone number for further details and application procedures.
It also states that only applicants who have completed their National Service and passed the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) would be shortlisted, and suggests there are limited vacancies for cooks and other non-teaching staff in special schools.
However, GES has clarified that it did not issue the notice and has urged the public to disregard it.
The Service cautioned prospective applicants against engaging with such messages, warning that they may be attempts to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
GES further advised the public to rely only on official communication channels for credible information regarding recruitment into the Service.
