Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has expressed his enthusiasm ahead of his side’s international friendly against Ghana.
The four-time world champions will host the Black Stars in Stuttgart on March 30, 2026, as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 GMT.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Nagelsmann highlighted the value of the match, describing it as an important benchmark for his team.
“We are very much looking forward to the clash with Otto [Addo]’s team,” Nagelsmann said. “Their strong transition play can give us a taste of what to expect in the World Cup group match against Ivory Coast,” he added.
Ghana and Germany have met twice at World Cup tournaments, with Germany securing a 1-0 win in 2010 before the two sides played out a 2-2 draw at the 2014 finals.
At the 2026 World Cup, Ghana will compete in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, while Germany are in Group E with Côte d’Ivoire, Curaçao, and Ecuador.
