The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has notified the general public, particularly residents of Dawhenya and its surrounding communities, of a live firing exercise scheduled to take place at the Bundase Training Camp on Friday, October 31, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Armed Forces, the Land Combat Fire Power Demonstration is part of efforts to test the operational readiness of troops in defending the nation against external threats.
The activity will involve the use of live ammunition, explosives, and heavy military equipment, resulting in loud sounds and visible flashes throughout the area.
Residents have been advised to stay away from the Bundase training zone and its surroundings during the period of the exercise.
The military further cautioned the public not to panic upon seeing troop movements or hearing explosions in the vicinity.
The Ghana Armed Forces assured that strict safety measures have been implemented to protect both participants and nearby residents and appealed for public cooperation throughout the exercise.
