Otto Addo, head coach of the Ghana national football team, has included four debutants in his latest squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Austria national football team and Germany national football team.

The quartet — Derrick Luckassen, Patrick Pfeiffer, Marvin Senaya and Daniel Agyei — have all earned their maiden call-ups as part of a 26-man squad assembled for the preparatory matches ahead of the next FIFA World Cup.

Luckassen, a centre-back currently with Pafos FC, developed through the ranks at AZ Alkmaar and has played across several European leagues. His previous clubs include PSV Eindhoven, Hertha BSC, RSC Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa, Fatih Karagümrük and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

He played a key role in helping Pafos secure the 2024/25 Cypriot First Division title and also scored the club’s first-ever goal in the UEFA Champions League.

Senaya, who currently plays for AJ Auxerre in Ligue 1, has steadily progressed through the French football system since making his professional debut in 2021. He has previously featured for RC Strasbourg Alsace, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and FC Lausanne-Sport.

Forward Daniel Agyei, currently with Kocaelispor, adds versatility to Ghana’s attack. The England-born attacker previously featured for Leyton Orient, Crewe Alexandra, Oxford United and Burnley FC before moving to Turkey.

Pfeiffer, a defender with SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2. Bundesliga, strengthens Ghana’s defensive options.

Ghana will face Austria at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion on Friday, March 27, with kick-off at 17:00 GMT, before travelling to Stuttgart to play Germany on Monday, March 30.
