The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised Ghanaians travelling to Senegal to take necessary health precautions, including getting recommended vaccinations.
In a statement issued on March 26, the Ministry noted that Senegalese authorities recommend travellers be vaccinated against communicable diseases such as yellow fever, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus (DPT), measles, and hepatitis A and B.
The Ministry clarified, however, that proof of vaccination is not a mandatory requirement for entry into Senegal.
Travellers are encouraged to consult healthcare providers and ensure their routine vaccinations are up to date before departure to protect their health while abroad.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to providing timely information to safeguard the well-being of Ghanaians travelling outside the country.
