A fierce fire on Tuesday gutted a warehouse at Abooyo LP, near Radio Gold in Lartebiokorshie, destroying goods believed to be shoes and spreading to an adjoining residential house.
Eyewitnesses say the blaze may have started from a lit cigarette.
The warehouse, reportedly operated by alleged illegal shoe dealers, was completely ravaged, while the nearby house suffered severe damage.
Efforts by the Ghana National Fire Service were hampered as fire trucks reportedly arrived without water.
A nearby pure water company has since deployed more than eight tankers to assist in the firefighting efforts.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has also disconnected power lines in the area.
Despite the devastation, no casualties have been reported.
Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the fire as investigations begin.
