The Bogoso Fire Station in the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality of the Western Region responded to a distress call at about 9:49pm on Monday following reports of a fire outbreak at a commercial shop opposite the GOIL Filling Station at Golden Hotel Junction.

Firefighters arrived at the scene at about 10:06pm and found the blaze had already engulfed a shop dealing in lubricants, car batteries and assorted vehicle parts, posing a serious threat to adjoining businesses and nearby structures.

The fire crew, led by ADO I Sylvester Yiddana, swiftly battled the flames and brought the situation under control at about 10:26pm.

The fire was fully extinguished about twenty minutes later, preventing it from spreading further and saving neighbouring shops and properties.

No injuries or casualties were recorded.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, and investigations are currently underway to determine what triggered the outbreak.
