Medeama SC youngster Kelvin Nkrumah delivered a stunning extra-time performance, scoring a hat-trick to inspire his side to a 3–0 victory over Attram De Visser FC in the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday evening at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The encounter proved to be a tough test for the Mauve and Yellow, who were forced to dig deep against the determined Division One League side. Attram De Visser remained well organised and resilient throughout regulation time, frustrating Medeama’s attacking efforts and holding the Premier League outfit to a goalless draw after 90 minutes.

The deadlock was eventually broken in the 109th minute when Nkrumah, who had troubled the Attram De Visser defence throughout the game, calmly finished from inside the penalty area to put Medeama ahead.

The winger struck again in the 112th minute to double his side’s advantage and put the Tarkwa-based club firmly in control of the tie.

Moments later, Medeama were awarded a penalty, and Nkrumah confidently stepped up in the 114th minute to convert from the spot, completing a memorable hat-trick and sealing victory for his side.

Despite the defeat, Attram De Visser earned praise for their spirited performance, having matched their top-flight opponents for much of the contest before eventually succumbing to Medeama’s late burst of goals.

The result sends Medeama into the semi-finals, where they will face fellow Premier League side Dreams FC as they continue their push for domestic success this season.

For Medeama supporters, the night in Cape Coast will be remembered for Nkrumah’s brilliance, as his extra-time heroics transformed a tense stalemate into a commanding victory.
