Everyone warned me, but I threatened to commit suicide – Regina Daniels on marriage to Ned Nwoko

Actress and film producer Regina Daniels has broken her silence following reports of a deepening rift with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, which allegedly led to the arrest of her siblings.

In an emotional social media post, the 24-year-old actress reflected on the struggles she faced when insisting on marrying Ned, despite opposition from her family.

“My mum warned me, my brothers warned me, everyone warned me. Yet I drove out at night saying I would kill myself if I didn’t marry Ned. I even went to the police station crying that my family was against me marrying the love of my life,” Regina revealed.

She admitted that while her marriage initially seemed rosy, joining a polygamous family is now a decision she regrets.

She also described enduring immense pressure since the marriage began to unravel, emphasizing her restraint for the sake of her children, Khalifa and Munir.

Regina further alleged that her siblings’ arrest was intended to coerce her into returning to Ned Nwoko’s home, expressing frustration that her private struggles have become a public spectacle.

Addressing widespread rumors, she clarified that she did not marry for wealth, highlighting that she was already financially independent and the main provider for her family prior to the marriage. She admitted that marrying Ned was a youthful decision driven by love.

Ned Nwoko has yet to respond publicly to Regina’s statements, while her siblings remain in custody.
