The Paramount Chief of Effutu, Nana Ackon Agyenfi VI, Asubonpinin Adikro, has expressed the readiness of the chiefs and people of Effutu to support the government’s proposed 24-hour market initiative.
Speaking in Effutu, Nana Ackon Agyenfi VI recalled that the NDC parliamentary candidate strongly campaigned on the establishment of a 24-hour market.
He noted that with the party now in government, the traditional authorities are prepared to collaborate to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative.
The Paramount Chief also disclosed that the Effutu Traditional Council has prepared a position paper on key national issues, including concerns about the electoral process, particularly the voters’ registration exercise.
He called for a review of the registration process, especially the involvement of the military during registration periods.
Nana Ackon Agyenfi VI announced that, together with the council of elders, the traditional authority will formally present the Effutu position paper. He also commended the Regional Minister for being proactive in engaging with the people.
