In a statement released on Sunday, March 29, ECG explained that the outage affecting areas in the Accra West Region stems from a cable fault at Amasaman.
Several communities and locations are currently impacted, including Amasaman, Fise, the Urban Roads enclave, the Hospital area, the Municipal Assembly vicinity, Lakisha Hotel, the Slaughterhouse, China Mall, and surrounding areas.

ECG also announced that emergency maintenance will be carried out in parts of the Western Region on Monday, March 30, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The exercise is expected to cause temporary disruptions in areas such as Dwenase, Kokokrom, Omanhene New Site, Mpomam, Wiawso, Susumenette, Old and New Adiembra, Kessekrom, Awhiam, Nsawora, and surrounding communities.
The company assured residents that technical teams are actively working to resolve the cable fault and will restore power supply as soon as the situation is stabilised.
