Adom TV is set to light up the National Theatre in Accra on Saturday, December 20, 2025, as its much-anticipated Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols comes alive with a fresh blend of humour and Christmas celebration.
Branded “Smiles & Fun Galore,” this year’s edition breaks away from the traditionally solemn tone of Nine Lessons and Carols, promising an entertainment-packed retelling of the Christmas story designed to delight audiences.
Gates will open at 5:00pm, with patrons expected to arrive early for what has become one of the most talked-about events on Ghana’s festive calendar.
A major highlight of the programme is a creative Nativity play delivered in classic Kumawood style. Popular Kumawood actors will take centre stage to present a humorous interpretation of the birth of Jesus, creatively weaving relatable Ghanaian experiences into the biblical narrative.
Music will also take centre stage at the celebration. The Glorious Philharmonic Choir will lead the choral performances, while gospel artistes Piesie Esther, Mavis Asante and Abena Ruthy are set to deliver powerful worship moments.
Adding a contemporary touch, musicians Epixode and Guru will thrill the audience with high-energy performances to round off the evening’s lineup.
Over the years, Adom TV’s Nine Lessons & Carols has grown into a major Christmas attraction. This year’s edition is expected to draw a massive crowd to the National Theatre as families and music lovers gather to celebrate the season in style.
