Declaration of Wednesday, 1st May as public holiday

Government has declared Wednesday, 1st May 2024 as a statutory public holiday.

A statement issued by the Interior Minister, Henry Quartey, urged the general public to observe the day throughout the country.

“The general public is hereby informed that Monday, 1st May 2024 which marks May Day (Workers Day) is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the release said.
