The High Court in Accra has confirmed that there is no registered will for the late highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, at the Probate and Administration Division’s registry.
The confirmation followed an official registry search conducted as part of the legal process to manage the estate of the celebrated artist.
The search aimed to determine whether the late musician had filed a will with the High Court, including details such as the filing date, the person who submitted it, and the lawyer who prepared it.
However, the registry’s response, dated January 19, 2026, at 2:37 pm, revealed that “there is no record of any will deposited by Daddy Lumba.”
The document, signed and stamped by the Registrar of the Probate and Administration Division, confirmed that no such record exists in the court’s registry.
The absence of a registered will means the estate of the late musician may have to be administered under Ghana’s intestate succession laws unless a will emerges from another source.
This development introduces additional legal considerations for the family and representatives managing his affairs.
