The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), has threatened to embark on industrial action over delays in the implementation of a newly agreed salary structure for its members.

According to the association, the salary structure was jointly negotiated with the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment and captured in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). However, CLOGSAG says the process has stalled, with no further engagement from the ministry, raising concerns among its members.

Addressing participants at the association’s Thanksgiving Service and 2025 Christmas Message event, the Deputy Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, Kwame Krakani, expressed disappointment over the lack of communication from government officials.

He stressed that the association is awaiting urgent negotiations to prevent any disruption to public service delivery.

Mr. Krakani warned that continued silence from the government could force CLOGSAG to activate industrial action to protect the welfare and interests of its members.

The association reiterated its readiness to take all necessary steps should the government fail to return to the negotiation table and honour the terms contained in the MoU.
