CAF CC: Asante Kotoko depart Ghana with 20-man squad for Wydad AC clash

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has named a 20-man squad for the decisive return leg of their CAF Confederation Cup encounter against Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club.

The Porcupine Warriors travel to Morocco trailing 1-0 from the first leg, which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Goalkeepers Aziz Haruna Dari and Benjamin Twum have been called up for the trip, with first-choice Mohammed Camara suspended following his red card in the first leg.

Zito’s defensive setup includes Patrick Asiedu, Zackaria Fuseini, Francis Acquah, Samba O’Neil, and Joseph Amoah, while the midfield will be anchored by experienced figures such as Lord Hillary Adabo, Gyau Hubert, and Fuseini Walid Neymar. Youngsters Amidu Peter and Inusah Adams have also been included to add energy and creativity.

In attack, Guinean striker Donzo Morifing will be joined by Amoah Albert as Kotoko look to overturn the deficit and secure a place in the next round.

The second leg is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca. The aggregate winner will advance to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup
