Bridget Bonnie appointed Head of Information at Ghana High Commission UK

The newly appointed Head of Information at the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, Bridget Bonnie, has reaffirmed her commitment to advancing Ghana’s diplomatic communication and supporting the mission’s strategic objectives under President John Dramani Mahama’s “Reset Agenda.”

Her appointment, announced on Sunday, November 2, 2025, is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the High Commission’s public engagement and information dissemination in both the UK and Ireland.

In a statement following her appointment, Ms. Bonnie expressed deep appreciation to President Mahama for the confidence reposed in her and promised to work diligently to enhance Ghana’s image abroad.

“It is a profound honour to serve as the Head of Information at the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland,” she said. “I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity and remain fully dedicated to advancing the mission’s communication and public diplomacy objectives.”

She further noted her enthusiasm about collaborating with Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, to meet the mission’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

“Under the exceptional leadership of Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, I look forward to contributing meaningfully toward achieving the mission’s goals in line with the visionary Reset Agenda of President Mahama,” Ms. Bonnie stated.

She also extended gratitude to all who supported her appointment and encouraged the youth of Ghana to remain optimistic and united.

“I wish to thank His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and everyone who made this possible. To the vibrant youth and the people of Ghana, your support inspires me. Together, we will continue to build the Ghana we envision,” she added.

The Ghana High Commission in London plays a vital role in promoting trade, investment, tourism, immigration, and consular services.

It also oversees the work of key Ghanaian institutions based in London, including the Cocoa Marketing Company, Ghana Forestry Commission, Ghana International Bank, and the University of Ghana Office, which all contribute to Ghana’s international representation and development goals.
