The Chief of Boinso in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region, Nana Kwadwo Miah, has appealed to political leaders, security agencies, and all stakeholders to help maintain peace amid the ongoing land dispute between Jama and Boinso.
The appeal comes in response to rising tensions over the ownership and use of portions of land between the two communities—a situation the chief fears could escalate into violence if not properly managed.
Addressing residents and opinion leaders in Boinso, Nana Miah cautioned that land-related conflicts have the potential to trigger long-term instability and loss of lives. He stressed the need for restraint and dialogue to prevent any future calamity in the municipality.
He further urged the Ghana Police Service, local political leaders, and other security agencies to intensify patrols in the area to deter acts that could disrupt the peace.
