Minister for Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to strengthen the Black Stars’ video analysis team as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Currently, Belgian coach Gregory de Grauwe serves as the team’s sole video analyst while also handling set-piece duties.
Since his appointment earlier this year, de Grauwe, who holds a UEFA B Coaching License, has been praised for his contributions to the team’s tactical development.
With just seven months remaining before the tournament, the Sports Minister emphasized the need for additional expertise.
“The area of the video analyst must be improved, and I don’t think we should go to the World Cup with just two video analysts,” the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency told UTV. “I have my own view — we should have more video analysts at the World Cup.”
Ghana will learn their group-stage opponents on December 5. Following a disappointing group-stage exit at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Black Stars are determined to make a stronger impression in next summer’s tournament.
