The Black Queens of Ghana produced a commanding performance, cruising to a 4-0 victory over Russia in their second Pink Ladies Cup match on Tuesday at the Al Hamriya Sports Club Stadium.
Ghana wasted little time asserting themselves, taking the lead in the 8th minute when Doris Boaduwaa set up Stella Nyamekye for the opener.
Boaduwaa doubled the advantage in the 17th minute with a stunning volley and added her second goal of the match in the 32nd minute, giving the Queens a comfortable 3-0 lead by halftime.
In the second half, the Black Queens maintained defensive discipline, limiting Russia to only a handful of scoring opportunities.
Substitute Patience Ajegipena Zakaria capped off the dominant performance with a goal in the closing minutes, sealing a 4-0 win.
This follows Ghana’s 4-0 victory over Hong Kong in their opening match, highlighting the team’s strong form and momentum.
The Black Queens will conclude their Pink Ladies Cup campaign on March 6 against Tanzania, as they continue preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco later this month.
