Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have been crowned champions of the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The tournament’s final match between Ghana and Tanzania was called off due to the ongoing unrest in the Middle East, leaving the Black Queens at the top of the standings and confirming them as winners of the competition.

Ghana began their campaign in impressive fashion with a commanding 4-0 victory over Hong Kong. Princess Marfo, Doris Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and Ajegipena Zakaria all found the net in a dominant opening performance.

The Queens followed it up with another emphatic display, thrashing Russia 4-0 in their second game. Doris Boaduwaa scored twice, while Stella Nyamekye and Ajegipena Zakaria also got on the scoresheet.

Those two convincing wins placed head coach Kim Lars Björkegren’s side firmly in pole position for the title, especially considering the results involving the other teams in the four-nation tournament.

Boaduwaa’s standout performance earned her the Golden Boot after scoring three goals in the competition.

Goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan Findib was also recognised for her contribution, winning the Golden Glove after keeping clean sheets in both matches.

The team is expected to break camp in the coming days and return to their respective clubs following the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which has been moved from March 17 to July 25.
