Black Galaxies head coach Kasim Mingle Ocansey believes his side’s friendly against South Africa offers a timely platform to showcase their quality.
Ghana take on the Bafana Bafana later today at the Dobsonville Stadium in an international friendly, with both teams using the encounter as part of their preparations for upcoming competitions.
While South Africa are fine-tuning plans ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Black Galaxies will draw valuable lessons as they gear up for the 2026 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Ocansey described the fixture as a meaningful test for his players but insisted there is no pressure on his side.
“This game is an opportunity for the Black Galaxies to prove that they are a very good side,” the former Bechem United and Nations FC coach said.
“I’m happy to have this friend, but my team is not under any pressure. We believe in building, and that is exactly what I am doing,” Ocansey added.
The match kicks off at 14:00 GMT.
