Bechem United are closing in on the appointment of experienced tactician Kobina Amissah as their new head coach, Asempa FM Sports can confirm.
The club is moving to fill the vacancy left by Desmond Issah-Botchway, who was relieved of his duties on Monday, November 3, following a difficult start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Hunters have struggled this term, recording just one win in their opening eight matches. A goalless home draw against Nations FC proved to be the final straw, prompting the board to part ways with Issah-Botchway and his assistant, Bright Anthony Konadu.
Amissah is expected to take charge alongside former Ghana international Mallam Yahaya, who is tipped to join the technical team as assistant coach.
His first assignment, should the deal be finalised, will be a challenging trip to face Young Apostles in their Matchday 9 fixture this weekend, where he will be tasked with triggering an immediate turnaround.
The highly experienced coach is best known for guiding Bibiani GoldStars to their historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League. His résumé also includes spells with Elmina Sharks, Sekondi Hasaacas, and Berekum Chelsea.
