Bawumia commiserates with family of late Apostle Kwadwo Safo ‘Kantanka’

Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has commiserated with former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP), Sarah Adwoa Safo, and her family following the death of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

The founder of the Kristo Asafo Church and the Kantanka Group of Companies passed away last Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the age of 77.

Following a heartfelt tribute in honour of the deceased and a commiseration message to the bereaved family, Dr. Bawumia visited the residence to console them.

He was accompanied by former Majority Leader and Suame MP, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Karaga MP and former Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam; Assin South MP, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, and 2024 New Patriotic Party(NPP) Dome-Kwabenya parliamentary candidate, Mike Ocquaye Jnr.; and Adentan NPP PC, Akosua Manu, among others.

Dr. Bawumia during the visit also signed a book of condolence in honour of Apostle Safo Kantanka.

Born on August 26, 1948, in Bekwai in the Ashanti Region, Apostle Safo rose to prominence as both a spiritual leader and a technological pioneer.
