The Headmaster of Ayirebi Senior High School, William Amewuho, has appealed to corporate organisations, benevolent groups, and individuals to help address the school’s critical infrastructure challenges.
He noted that key facilities such as the Science and Visual Arts Laboratory, Assembly Hall, and teachers’ bungalows are in dire need of refurbishment to improve teaching and learning.
His appeal followed a donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, COAFRICA, and the Build-a-School Initiative in Africa (BASIA), who handed over a new six-classroom block, offices, and a toilet facility to the school. The donation also included 200 desks and other educational supplies.
Speaking at the commissioning, Mr. Amewuho expressed gratitude for the support but emphasized that more assistance is needed to further enhance the school’s educational standards.
Elder Patrick Appiah Nti, an Area Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, explained that the gesture was part of ongoing efforts to promote quality education and encouraged other organisations to extend similar support.
Dignitaries at the event also highlighted the importance of adequate infrastructure and resources in delivering effective education, urging government to prioritise support for Ayirebi SHS.
