The Member of Parliament for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has commenced efforts to rehabilitate neglected roads in the constituency to improve transportation and ease access for residents.
Speaking to Adom News while overseeing work on the Jericho–Abattoir road at Kenyasi No. 2, Dr. Addo explained that the road had been in a deplorable state for over two years, making it difficult for motorists to navigate.
“The poor condition of this road has affected teachers, health workers, students, and traders, forcing many to endure challenges commuting to work, school, and markets,” he said.
Dr. Addo revealed that he collaborated with the district assembly to deploy DRIP machines and personally funded the fuel costs to get the project underway. He assured residents that all other deteriorated roads in the constituency would be rehabilitated within his four-year term.
Some residents expressed gratitude for the intervention, noting that the road had often become impassable, particularly during rainy seasons, posing serious risks to commuters. They described the rehabilitation works as a major relief after years of frustration.
