Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Mampong, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, has expressed strong confidence that the Ashanti Region will deliver not less than 70% of votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2026 presidential primary.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Ampratwum-Sarpong said the enthusiasm for Dr. Bawumia in the Ashanti Region is “massive and organic.”
He added that the campaign team’s grassroots work is yielding impressive results.
“When we mobilize and enter a constituency, it’s massive; we shake and rock the place. I can sincerely say that in the Ashanti Region, we’ll get not less than 70% in the primaries. We’re connecting with the delegates, and the Bawumia love is real,” he stated.
He further dismissed critics and so-called “prophets” predicting otherwise, urging them to focus on their own affairs, emphasizing that Dr. Bawumia “is winning hands down.”
