The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has scheduled November 30 and December 1, 2025, for what is expected to be the final session of his mediation efforts in the protracted Bawku chieftaincy conflict.

A statement issued by the Manhyia Palace and signed by the Chief of Staff, Kofi Badu, indicated that the Asantehene commended all parties for their constructive participation and positive engagement throughout the mediation process.

Otumfuo also appealed to stakeholders to refrain from any actions that could jeopardize the progress made so far, emphasizing the need for continued cooperation to achieve lasting peace in Bawku.

The mediation, led by the Asantehene, forms part of broader national efforts to bring a peaceful resolution to the long-standing chieftaincy dispute in the Upper East Region.
