Asante Kotoko secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders on Wednesday, December 24, in their Ghana Premier League encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors made a bright start and were rewarded in the 17th minute when Peter Amidu Acquah broke the deadlock to give the visitors a deserved first-half advantage.

Kotoko remained in control after the interval, dictating the tempo and restricting Eleven Wonders to few meaningful openings, while continuing to pose a threat going forward.

Their dominance was finally reflected on the scoreline late in the game as Johnson Oppong Owusu found the net in the 89th minute to seal the win.

The result lifts Kotoko to third place on the league table with 27 points from 15 matches, deepening the woes of Eleven Wonders, who stay bottom with just six points.

Kotoko will turn their attention to a home fixture against Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium, while Eleven Wonders face a tough away trip to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park in Matchday 16 fixtures this weekend.
