Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has praised his team’s tactical approach following a 0-0 draw away to Bibiani GoldStars.
The Porcupine Warriors, coming off a disappointing home draw, aimed to bounce back at the DUN’s Park. Their hopes of a win were briefly raised when they appeared to score, only for the referee to rule the goal out for a foul.
Despite the goalless outcome, Zito saw clear progress in his side’s performance.
Speaking after the match, he said the team’s plan had worked as intended and highlighted the improvement compared to their previous home display against Berekum Chelsea, which also ended 0-0.
“Tactically, we came in with a game plan, and the game plan worked to perfection,” he said.
“If you look at how we played today and the way we played in Kumasi, there is a lot of difference in today’s game, and I’m very satisfied with the way the boys played,” Zito added.
The draw leaves Kotoko in fourth place with 32 points. They will look to return to winning ways when they host Basake Holy Stars on Sunday in their Matchday 20 fixture.
